At Bhatia Orthodontics, we specialize in providing Orthodontic treatment for the entire family using a perfect blend of advanced technology and compassion. Whether it be Braces or Invisalign, we use the latest proven technology that makes treatment less noticeable, with improved comfort and reduced frequency of appointments and treatment time.
Dr. Bhatia’s dual training makes her uniquely qualified to diagnose and intercept malalignment concerns that might lead to more problematic issues as growth progresses. Especially important is the fact that new techniques can possibly eliminate the need for extraction of permanent teeth and the need for future surgery in growing children.
Your first visit will begin with a complimentary consultation with Dr. Bhatia to review the best alternatives for your orthodontic care. Dr. Bhatia will address any questions you may have regarding your treatment and will work with you to provide a comprehensive plan for orthodontic therapy.
Invisalign® & Invisalign® Teen
Teenagers – and most adults – don’t like the idea of the old “metal mouth” braces. We offer Invisalign® and Invisalign® Teen clear aligners to straighten your smile instead of bulky metal braces of the past. Invisalign® Teen has great features for young patients and is the perfect solution for teens on the go.
Providing a modern approach to straightening teeth, Invisalign® uses a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible BPA Free, FDA approved plasticlike material that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements Dr. Bhatia prescribes for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.
It is the quality of the prescription that helps the aligner to perform with a higher degree of accuracy to deliver a better result. Hence the experience of the prescribing orthodontist with this technology is important. We are an Elite Invisalign® provider – a distinction only given to 1% of practices in the nation by Invisalign® to orthodontists that have completed over 1000 cases with this method!
Clear Braces
Clear Ceramic braces are popular with adults and teenagers who want a fixed method to move their teeth without the look of metal.
Clear braces combine tieless braces with high technology archwires that are clinically proven to move teeth quickly and comfortably with truly spectacular smile and facial results. Available from skilled orthodontists, clear braces combine the best of conventional metal braces and invisible aligners to deliver a discrete treatment experience with results that go beyond straight teeth.
Metal Braces
Metal Braces are made from stainless steel brackets and wires. Traditional metal braces are still the most popular types of braces as they produce high quality results. We use the latest brackets and wires that allow for more control of each tooth. The high tech materials enable us to spread out your appointments 6-8 weeks apart as compared to the traditional 3-4 weeks apart. The force applied to the teeth is gentler and there is less discomfort.
Orthodontic Mini-Implants
Orthodontic mini-implants are tiny dental implants that are temporarily placed in the mouth to target teeth that may need specialized treatment without affecting the surrounding teeth. Using a special instrument, these “pins” can be quickly and comfortably placed in the jaw, often using only a topical anesthetic. During placement, you may feel some slight pressure but no pain. The “pins” provide Dr. Bhatia a fixed anchor for space closure, molar uprighting, correction of open bites and other tooth movement. With this advanced technology, Dr. Bhatia is able to treat certain complex cases and get results that otherwise may not have been accomplished without jaw surgery. Treatment usually lasts a few months, and once the desired movement has been achieved, the “pin” is removed.
Tooth Stain Removal
Using this process of re-mineralization, it is possible to reverse the appearance of “white spots” on the teeth.
Teeth Whitening
Our Teeth Whitening includes an in-office, chemically activated whitening process that gives you noticeably whiter teeth in about an hour.
- No bothersome heat or harmful ultraviolet rays (via laser light)
- Our product includes Potassium Nitrate and Fluoride for stronger enamel, decreased sensitivity, and caries prevention
Gum Line Sculpting
Once your orthodontic treatment is completed, we offer gum line sculpting to put the finishing touches on your new smile!
Soft tissue diode laser sculpting is used to cosmetically reshape the architecture of the gums. In some cases, there is redundant (extra) gum tissue that forms a pocket around the teeth creating a hard-to-clean area where bacteria can grow.
Removing the extra gum tissue can:
- Improve the ability to keep the teeth clean
- Improve your smile by lengthening the teeth
In other cases, the teeth may be straight, but the smile still appears “crooked” because the gum line is uneven. Balancing the gum line creates a symmetry and enhances the perception of a straight smile.
Sleep Wellness
Sleep wellness is an important part of our overall health.
Snoring and sleep apnea can interfere with the ability to get a good night’s rest and are often treated by mouthpieces, breathing devices and in serious cases, surgery. Snoring is caused by narrowing or blocking of the airway. The disruption of airflow causes the soft palate and tissues of the throat to vibrate, and the narrower the airway becomes, the louder the snoring. Sleep apnea is a disorder which causes one or more pauses in breathing or shallow breaths while you sleep. Paused or shallow breathing caused by sleep apnea causes shifts from deep sleep into light sleep, reducing the overall quality of sleep and causing ongoing sleep disruption.
Dr. Bhatia has been specially trained to use orthodontics to treat both snoring and sleep apnea. Realigning the bite and teeth can alleviate the narrowing or obstructing the airway, reducing symptoms and providing better sleep and better overall health.
Please contact Dr. Bhatia’s office to schedule a consultation to discuss how orthodontics may improve your sleep.
3D Technology
The use of the iTero® scanner allows Dr. Bhatia to take digital impressions of the patients teeth. Enjoy the comfort of a high-tech, chairside experience without the mess and gagging associated with traditional molding procedures.
The scanner allows us to be more efficient and can reduce the number of visits to the office, saving time.
Dr. Bhatia is able to get limitless, full 360 degree views of the teeth which enhances her diagnostic ability.
Dr. Bhatia is able to use a 3D scan to show you a virtual animation of what your teeth would look like once they are straight. This allows you to see clearly and immediately the benefits of your treatment. This new technology is fast and provides many wonderful benefits that were unavailable only a few years ago.
